Association CEO Tim May, today he discusses the problems facing cricket
where pay TV is becoming increasingly important as a broadcast partner

free-to-air.

coverage afforded the Melbourne Tsunami ODI of seeing the game’s best
playing each other without the traditional country v country as
previously the only basis for ICC officially sanctioned games.
“I see all the benefits it can bring the game, but you have various
barriers you need to get over, with just one of them being the
fixturing burden already being asked of players at the moment.
But certainly as an idea it has a lot of power behind it, and it might
well be an ICC or FICA initiative to consider”
