Parliament sits from Tuesday through to 23 June, then doesn’t return until 9 August – and once again there’s talk that Nationals leader and Deputy Prime Minister John Anderson won’t be returning to Canberra. Anderson has had a long, lousy run in his transport portfolio of late. The Nats are in decline and their elastic ethics and pork barrelling are constant embarrassments to the government.
