This
week’s issue of BRW magazine has as its cover illustration and story Chris
Corrigan of Patrick Corporation, now the subject of a higher $5.4 billion bid
from Toll Holdings, run by the vertically-challenged Paul
Little.

A
mysterious 20c jump in the Toll share price late Thursday to $14.25 boosted the value of the offer slightly and helped put
a floor under the shares which were looking a little toppy in late trading.

Under
the ASX’s non-instant disclosure policy, we won’t know
the identity of the brokers until next Tuesday. Perhaps
it was a reaction to the BRW cover with Corrigan.

So is
that why an upset Paul Little rang BRW yesterday to complain in loud and very
direct terms about why he wasn’t on the cover and the subject of the story?
