Workplace Relations Minister Kevin Andrews released amendments to WorkChoices last week – but the IR zealot’s gospel still seems to please few people on any side of the debate.
Andrews may argue that WorkChoices is creating new jobs, but many of his Liberal colleagues fear it will put them out of work. The Government just can’t seem to hose down the problems caused by its WorkChoices legislation.
Andrews – surprise, surprise – won’t be able to do anything to win over the unions. But the backbench are getting concerned that he seems unable to make business more enthusiastic.
