If ever there was a story that shows the world would be gobbling up Firepower products if they really worked, it’s this one: Europe’s Environment Commission is looking to bring in a car emissions standard so tough it could wipe out Europe’s manufacturers.

It’s stating the obvious to Crikey’s wise readers, but most of Australia’s media outlets still haven’t caught on to the story that something doesn’t quite add up about one of the nation’s biggest sports sponsors.

Instead of bumping around Russia doing deals with very colourful Russian businessmen, Tim Johnston should be pocketing billions from the world’s transport industry. Webdiary has a summary of Firepower’s strange story so far – no sign of Daimler-Chrysler, Fiat, Peugeot, Saab, Volkswagen ….anyone like that really.

And it seems Austrade might not be quite so sure about the star-power of Firepower anymore. Until very recently, you could find this glowing report on the Austrade success stories site – but I wasn’t able to find it there anymore.

Never mind. Firepower CEO John Finnin has promised to hand over test results from Shell, Volvo et al this week to prove the pills fulfil their miraculous promises.

We’ll keep you posted, but in the meantime we’ve been unable to find anyone at Shell who knows anything about such tests.
