As patriotic citizens, the Crikey crew want to play their part in assisting with the emergency in indigenous Australia.
So we’ve drawn up some questions for the Prime Minister or his Justice Minister, David Johnston or even the AFP media unit.
When can we expect the first charges to be made against a black or white sex offender? It seems reasonable to expect several hundred charges would be laid against many individuals within the first month if there is such an epidemic of s-xual abuse. Is it not already day five of this emergency?
How many AFP officers are overseas on tax free perks? When are they returning to Australia and when will they be redeployed and on the ground in Australia?
What was the cost of AFP Commissioner’s Mick Keelty’s travel to Greece after the arrest of Tony Mokbel? Who approved this travel? How does this compare to the daily travel costs of AFP officers in remote areas of the Northern Territory?
As we said, we’re just doing our patriotic duty.
