John Howard’s expected non-attendance at Sorry Day seemed to get a lot more coverage than Bob Hawke’s (though Hawke eventually turned up); while Lindsay Tanner’s slashing, cutting and tucking got him plenty of headlines as the Government goes for Surplus 1.5. Somehow Jenny Macklin managed to drop six places. Who says it’s a one-man band?
