The issue of attacks ads and dishonesty is becoming a major campaign issue, and Barack Obama‘s campaign has put out a strong ad overnight quoting a number of newspapers criticising the John McCain campaign. The ad ends with the line “Deception is all he has left”. View it here.

The ad comes on the heels of John McCain‘s appearance on popular TV talk show The View, in which several of the panellists grilled McCain about Sarah Palin, reform and his attack ads. View the video here.

Australian blogger Trevor Cook of Corporate Engagement has written a post entitled “Country second: McCain’s dishonesty is the key issue” which rounds up a number of American newspaper articles and comment pieces about McCain’s behaviour on the campaign trail.
