Both candidates have been campaigning hard this week to win over Pennsylvania, the New York Times reports, a traditionally Democratic state that Barack Obama lost to Hillary Clinton.

“Losing Pennsylvania could undo any electoral gains Mr. Obama might make by winning over such longtime Republican states as Virginia, Colorado or Nevada. Last week, Gov. Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania watched as the Republican candidates crisscrossed his state, leading him to urge the Obama campaign to return and “nail this thing down.”

“On a blustery Tuesday, the candidates reprised what are becoming their final arguments of a long, grueling presidential campaign. Mr. Obama delivered his message from the suburbs of Philadelphia while the McCain campaign focused on the more conservative center of the state. Ms. Palin is planning two rallies in central Pennsylvania later Tuesday.”
