The Australian yesterday claimed that South Australian Premier and avid twitterer Mike Rann was “embarrassed” by the various p0rn and spam accounts following his every tweet.
In response, Rann challenged the Oz — via Twitter — “To prove they are not in Libs pocket [and] go through Malcolm Turnbull’s 16,000 twitter followers”.
We decided we were up for the challenge.
Sure enough, Malcolm Turnbull follower bouncin1R is quick to link us to “fun free live sex chat”, while another follower SuseyChan, offers herbal remedies to hepatitis and obesity and advice on how to make money on Twitter. Turnbull can also arm his debt truck via a link to a gun salesman account also following the Opposition Leader.
Not content with what was revealed from Turnbull’s Twitter, we’ve canvassed a number of the other Australian pollie Twitterati.
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has brought in the catchphrase “Twitter Time!” for his use of the social networking site and follower lcarou2142 is keen to offer KRudd “German free dating site helping Germany single!”. No mention of “programmatic specificity”.
One follower of Shadow Treasurer Joe Hockey, goldcoastescort, might have misheard when The Oz reported yesterday that the member for North Sydney was ahead of Turnbull in the polls but lets him know she’s “packing lots of toys lube and an*l beads so we can put on a bit of a show”.
New South Wales Premier Nathan Rees follower SxBrooke wants us to call her on 1800 GET LAID, because she “need[s] to fuck so bad”.
Meanwhile, NSW Liberal Opposition Leader Barry O’Farrell follower xPrettyxCamsx promotes a site where “A gorgeous blonde babe shows off her perfect t.-.t.s and p.-.s.s.y”.
Following The Australian‘s own Twitter feed is a girl known as “Horny Kitty” who says it is “impossible 2 forget” her as she links us to her cam site.
