Next week, Crikey’s film body — the Film Admiring Residents of Crikey (FARC) — will reveal the winners of its coveted awards, The Golden Choc-Tops, honouring film since 2010. With the Oscars almost here (March 7 — or March 8 Australia time), The GCTs should be a pretty good predictor of winners at the Academy Awards.
Starting Monday, president of FARC and Crikey movie blogger Luke Buckmaster of Cinetology will be presenting the winners over five glittering days.
Who will win Best Book to Film Stuff-up, Best Use of Nicholas Cage’s Eyebrows and The Malcolm Tucker Award for Most Deplorable On-Screen Personality? Tune in to find out.
But before that, we need your help for the Readers’ Choice segment of The Golden Choc-Tops. No coupons we promise.
Pick our winners for:
- The Julie & Julia Award for best cinema snack
- The Jar Jar Binks award for most irritating alien race of 2009
- Australian politician most likely to star as a Na’vi in Avatar 2
- Best Aussie film of the last year
And more! Simply fill out our Readers’ Choice Awards form (estimated time: two minutes) to have your say.
