St Paddy’s Day has been preceded by a media week containing lashings of the unmentionable in polite company trinity of politics, sex and religion, and we therefore note the top three spots taken by politicians with strong Christian faiths. For anyone who may be threatened by that (another theme of the week), the rest of the top ten is, publicly at least, decidedly less religious.

We’re not too sure about Nick Xenophon’s personal view on general matters religious, but we know he’s not too fond of the one with the Thetans from across the universe and the hatred of psychiatry, and which he claims operates like a cult. The major parties seem considerably less concerned.

Wicked Wilson misses the top twenty by one with his unsurprisingly charming and useful comments, while the two State Opposition Leaders going to the polls this weekend make the cut — and here’s a bit of wild speculation — is Nick McKim the next Tasmanian Opposition Leader? Stranger things happen in Sea Org.

Greg Combet’s new role cleaning up the insulation mess gets him into the top five on talkback, while the policy avalanche has got the P.M. well ahead. Interestingly little discussion of maternity leave on commercial talkback. If you can’t say anything nice…?
