As a teacher in a NSW high school, the consensus amongst staff is that the personal computer roll-out is up there with the insulation program in terms of poor planning, waste of funds, no result and clearly policy made on the run with no consultation with the eventual stakeholders. These teachers are traditional Labor voters and they are disgusted at the waste and if nothing else they want the program to at least stop before any more is wasted. Do some research amongst teachers and I think you will find a large swell of discontent on this project.
