Adams: I’m a serial cut and paste journo

Michael Newhouse writes:
Lefty Australian columnist Phillip Adams has responded to plagiarism allegations levelled against him by Alan RM Jones in the upstart current affairs magazine Investigate.
With his tongue planted firmly in his cheek, Adams told Crikey yesterday he wasn’t surprised by the claims. He was only surprised they’ve taken so long to surface after a career spanning five decades of “serial copying and pasting.”
“I’m sure he’s right. This is my 50th year as a columnist (is this a record?) writing on every imaginable subject for pretty well every newspaper and magazine in the country. And not one of the ten to 15 million words published under my name was original. I nicked them all.”
Adams promised us a more measured response to the article, and the accusations, as soon as he can make it down to the big smoke to pick up a copy of Investigate.
We’re looking forward to finding out whose best lines he borrows for his response.
