I’m sure I am not alone in the feeling that 2011 represents a period of renewal for the television industry. The Nine schedule is more promising than we’ve seen in years, while the other Australian TV institution, the ABC, seems set to build upon the foundation of smart popular appeal that they have been laying for the past 3-4 years.
The next 6 weeks represent a period of downtime as we wait and see whether the stations deliver upon this promise. 11/1/11 brings with it the launch of Eleven will be the first spark of real activity. Until then, it’s a matter of sweeping out 2010 from the television porch.
This week on Televised Revolution Dan, Simon, and Dennis discuss:
- ABC unveil their 2011 television slate
- Australia says goodbye to Red Kerry and hello to 7:30
- Ten launch OneHD.com.au
- Ten appoint a new Board.
