By Thursday night, after the first day of The Third Ashes Test at the WACA, I would have preferred to watch the new Tron film than Australian cricket.
By yesterday afternoon the world had turned on its axis as Australia convincingly beat England, drawing level for the series, and managing to deliver a psychological hammer blow to the English tourists ahead of the incomparable Boxing Dy Test on Sunday.
While I was being run out for a duck on Saturday during my own club’s cricket match, the Australians were fighting back. Michael Hussey … I propose we annex part of Western Australia and give it to you for services to cricket. And Mitchell Johnson — who are you and what have you done with the crab-like impersonator that used your body during the First Test at Brisbane?
The English have a fight on their hands and they know it. Cue over dramatic English press today…
So, dear Crikey Sports reader, how will we fare? Can Australia regain the Ashes? Is the fire back?
Like a Chinese hurdler will Australia crash and crash through?

Bring on the Boxing Day Test…
