i know! i know!

the chirping bird THAT KNOWS THE TRUTH in panel #3 is the very “thing with feathers” that emily dickinson wrote about in her pome.

which means the thing with feathers’ name is h.o.p.e.

(she) perches in the soul— and sings the tune without the words— and never stops—at all— and sweetest—in the gale—is heard— and sore must be the storm— that could abash the little bird that kept so many warm—

miss dickinson may not be everyones cup of tea, but i think thats the right answer.

oh, youre all welcome.

Ah yes, those poor b’staahds in Libya – trumped by a bigger news story (with pictures and videos!!) and shuffled off to the too-hard basket of history. It’s a toss-up as to which is the bigger tragedy – the one we can watch, or the impending one we may never get to see.

It used to be the difference between Mugabe and Fat Cat;
now it is about Gadaffi and Fat Cat.
Gadaffi has to buy friends, and he has oil money to do it.
