At school I would’ve happily converted to any faith which precluded engaging in sport. Is there such a religion? Perhaps it’s not too late to start one…

Zut, That releigion you were searching for is called the FIFA. They have nothing at all to do with sport, and is all about politics. As a youngster, you could also have joined Swimmimg Austtralia; which is a local version of FIFA and the Olympic Committee. combined.
