And once we have seen everything, what shall we do?

The sun was rising over Lasseter’s Reef. I woke up, got out of bed, dragged a comb across my head.

I was lining up for a latte this morning and some dude with a Kalashnikov and long beard wearing some kind of desert PJs tried to push in.

Fortunately Elvis grabbed him by the head gear and chucked him out on the street. It was a cold and grey Chicago morn.

I said “Elvis, thank you very much”. That was just before the shooting from the grassy knoll began. Then I started running and went and hid in the book depository across the road from Harold Holt’s beach cabin …. until a Russian submarine surfaced in the middle of the car park. Next to the Beatles’ Yellow submarine.

It’s ll true. I’ve got the photos. They’re doing the rounds at the Pig’s Arms second birthday celebrations. Kodachrome – it gives me nice bright colours – Tampa Red, 8 bar blues, Lorne Greene. Joni Mitchell showed up in a Big Yellow Tax. It was a Chelsea morning.

Pity nobody turned on the flight recorder.

We continue to see the images of the horse jumping the safety fence into the crowd – but the image of the horse AFTER that horrendous jump is the one we need to see. Otherwise nothing will change.

I thought I was fairly desensitised to horrifying images FD…….
But that picture of Justin Bieber has left me scarred for life. 🙁

I think in future, I’ll make sure to look at my monitor through the safety screen of a FDOTM Royal Wedding Memorial tea towel.
(It brings a whole new meaning to the concept of “clean feed”) 😀
