This is about the saddest roadkill I’ve come across – and they are all sad.
Earlier this week I was driving outbound through Humpty Doo, south of Darwin in the NT, and came across this pair of freshly killed Ringtail Possums (Pseudocheirus peregrinus) just past the pub.
There isn’t much more that I can say about this that the pictures don’t – other than make yet another a call for people to slow down when they see wildlife on the roads.
And just maybe if we all slowed down a bit we could avoid scenes like this in future…
