A predictable win for Nine,  thanks to the very solid combination of The Voice (2.716 million national/ 1.962 million metro/ 754,000 regional) and House Husbands (1.670 million national/ 1.155 million regional/ 515,000). That more than outplayed Seven with its weakening Celebrity Splash (1.232 million national/ 821,000 metro/ 411,000 regional) and Revenge (1.288 million national/ 898,000 metro/ 390,000 regional) with the latter again fading. Viewers are not too worried about Revenge any more.

And that was the night as Seven ended up a soft second, the ABC a solid third, Ten its usual weak fourth and SBS well behind. Seven was only really strong in Perth, where it won the night overall and the main channels. Seven finished ahead of Nine overall in Adelaide, but that result was reversed in the main channels. In regional areas Nine (through WIN/NBN) had a big win over a weak Seven (Prime/7Qld).

Celebrity Splash is not very good for Seven — it has lost viewers from its debut, and the network’s ratings will suffer while it is in the schedule. That fact that Celebrity Splash and Revenge couldn’t crack the million viewer mark last night in metro markets, when both had done so in previous weeks, tells us their core audiences are tiring of both programs.

Nine won Sunday night thanks to The Voice, from Seven, Ten and the ABC. Seven won last week narrowly (all people) from Nine,  the ABC and Ten. The grand final of My Kitchen Rules, Packed To the Rafters, A Place To Call Home (which won again on Sunday night), and the AFL all helped Seven.
