The Footy Show’s night last night — well, the AFL version coming out of Melbourne which had its usual dominant night in that market. Adelaide was also Nine’s, but not in Perth, curiously, even though the Freo Dockers are in tomorrow’s Grand Final. The audience in Melbourne was a massive 557,000 viewers for the AFL version, the biggest in any market last night.  But there were 119,000 viewers in Perth, which was better than it usually gets in that market. The NRL Footy Show (which is was one ep away from its GF special), helped Nine in Sydney and Brisbane. And it was Nine’s night in metro and regional markets. All up The Footy Shows managed almost two million viewers between them, live to air and the later repeats, which is a pretty big audience.

Upper Middle Bogan on ABC1 had  1.025 million  national/ 673,000 metro/ 352,000 regional viewers and had a nice joke on Michael Kroger, the Victorian Liberal Party identity. It’s A Date started slowly, but finished very well (796,000 national/522,000 metro/ 274,000 regional  viewers). How I Met Your Mother started its final series on Seven at 8pm and had 1.063 million national/677,000 metro/ 386,000 regional viewers. Save With Jamie on Ten at 7.30pm had 866,000 national/ 614,000 metro/ 252,000 regional viewers.
