Seven’s night in metro and regional markets, again. End of night thanks to the beast (aka My Kitchen Rules), which had more than 2.3 million national viewers, including 1.575 million metro and 749,000 regional viewers. Seven’s Winter won the 9pm-10pm slot with 1.332 million, including 819,000 metro and 513,000 regional. Home and Away at 7pm had 1.308 million national viewers, including 808,000 in the metros and 501,000 in the regionals, MKR, Winter and H&A were the top three programs in regional markets last night with very strong support from viewers.

In fact Winter ended its run in fine style last night — hopefully Seven will renew for a new series. The program is being produced in small batches, like UK producers turn out small runs of their dramas (Downton Abbey is one of the longest, with 12 episodes, including the Christmas special). Seven replaces it with a Vin Diesel move next week. Whoopeee, not!

Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell had 875,000 national viewers – down in recent weeks, I’m A Celebrity’s eviction and normal ep had an average audience of 903,000, including 650,000 in the metros. Still solid for Ten.
