Seven won in metro and regional markets as The Beast (AKA My Kitchen Rules) found the right menu after a couple of dodgy nights. Did Seven threaten the producers with a visit from Gordon Ramsay to get a lift in performance? It regained the 2 million mark (2.089 million) nationally for the first time this week. Home and Away at 7pm lifted, thanks to strong viewing support from regional viewers — 540,000, while metro viewing was still down on recent levels at 785,000. Nine’s The Block was a solid 1.289 million, the fresh Big Bang Theory episode, averaged 1.400 million.
In fact, Gordon Ramsay arrived straight after MKR to terrorise some swarthy-looking eatery owners in Spain that are frequented by British TV viewers looking for a chortle and a bit of “foreigner bashing”. Good sport, what! Ramsay’s Spanish vocal gymnastics and cooking program had 980,000 national viewers.
