In the regionals, Seven News was again on top with 645,000 viewers, followed by Home and Away with 511,000, then Seven News/Today Tonight with 508,000, The Chase Australia 5.30pm with 505,000 and the 7pm ABC News with 435,000.

Sky News had another solid night with The Bolt Report the fifth-most watched program with 61,000. Now will the Bolter and off-sider Peta Credlin have an apology for Malcolm Turnbull if he manages to pull off government? Don’t think so, but you’d reckon Bolt’s histrionics from election night need a correction once the result is known, along with something from “bed wetting” Alan Jones.

In breakfast, another solid win for Sunrise — 333,000 viewers to Today’s 289,000.
