Insiders continued on its record breaking run with another 600,000 plus national audience on Sunday — 603,000 to be precise — justifying the decision to remain on air on Easter Sunday in a federal election campaign.
Seven easily won Sunday night and followed that up on Monday night with another non-official ratings victory. Nine, meanwhile, offered up two episodes of Young Sheldon (including a repeat), followed by Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade — 450,000 viewers and a weak 4th on the night.
Ten’s final of Dancing With The Stars saw the winner’s announcement average 961,000 and the lead up 942,000. Seven’s first semi-final of My Kitchen Rules (the second is tonight) could only grab 1.24 million national viewers.
Seven News had its best figures this year for the 6pm to 6.30pm segment — 1.81 million thanks mostly to the programming of the Geelong-Hawthorn AFL match as the lead in AFL markets.
On Pay TV, the Parramatta-Wests NRL game from Sydney’s newest stadium out-rated Game of Thrones easily — 307,000 to 279,000 at 11am and 258,000 at 3pm.
In regional markets Seven’s 6pm News had its highest regional audience so far this year — 619,000, then Seven News/Today Tonight with 512,000, My Kitchen Rules with 434,000, Home and Away with 355,000 and the 7pm ABC News with 348,000.
