MAFS (1.35 million), Doctor Doctor returns (807,000 from 9pm), Nine wins, all’s well?

Well no, because the 6-7pm news battle with Seven saw Nine take a horrendous hit — a loss everywhere which spilled over into ACA from 7pm. Seven News nationally averaged 1.53 million across the hour, Nine’s hour averaged just 1.04 million

Nationally the ABC News beat ACA by 60,000 viewers — 1.033 million to 973,000 — usually ACA wins the timeslot. The answer to the huge win can be found in the 5.30pm to 6pm slot where Seven’s last 30 minutes of The Chase Australia averaged 873,000 viewers nationally and Nine’s Hot Seat with Eddie McGuire had 561,000. 

In the regions it was Seven News 6.30 with 565,000, then Seven News with 558,000, Home and Away with 388,000, MAFS with 341,000 and the 7pm ABC News with 318,000
