I’d like to bet that Pauline Hanson is off to live in England at the personal invitation of this new far right-wing party, whose name I can’t think of. I cannot believe a woman of Hanson’s age up-roots herself from a country that is warm and comfortable and goes to live in the cold fury of an English, 10-month, winter. What would she be bringing to this political party, I hear you ask? Her ability to be marketed, and, by deflection, the party associated with her. It cannot be a coincidence.
The electorate office I work in was severely affected by the hacking of the APH system. For most of Friday we were not able to access our email, the internet or any other network, resulting in our office (and I imagine other offices across the country) not being able to service our constituents.
I am also told that there were a couple of Commonwealth Government departments that were affected. So if someone’s Centrelink payment was going to be cut off, or if someone needed an urgent immigration matter solved, we couldn’t do anything.
I don’t know who these people are, but if they really think that by jamming up the APH system with porn is going to change government policy, they have no idea.
The frustration for Victorians with delays by Brumby Government are not exclusive to the Metropolitan train system. Recreational fishing clubs have had to wait 11 months to know if they were successful in applying for a grant for the Recreational Fishing Grant Program.
Grant applications closed February 27 last year and the results were announced by the Minister for Primary Industries last Friday.
It doesn’t help the government’s credibility with these groups to take 11 months to process a few community education grants for fishing education projects of a couple thousand dollars.
I understand Channel Seven has another interview in the can. Similar lines as Michelle Chantelois! How about you guys doing a survey on who lives within their electorate in SA. That is, for sitting members and candidates. Reason: have repeatedly asked local ABC (891) to do this and struck the “wall of silence”.
