Seven had a better night, especially in Sydney. Seven won everywhere bar Melbourne where Nine News and A Current Affair won. ACA dropped sharply from its strong night Monday. The 7.30 Report got into the promotion business for Blanche’s latest book on Bob Hawke and Ten’s Hawke biopic on Sunday night.
The Stats:
- FTA: Seven won nationally with a share of 28.1%, from Nine with 24.6%, Ten on 23.5%, the ABC, 17.0% and SBS, 6.9%. Seven leads the week with 27.1%, from Nine on 25.9% and Ten with 24.6%. Seven won 25 to 54’s, Ten won 16 to 39s and 18 to 49s.
- Main Channel: Seven won with a share of 26.4%, from Ten on 22.8%, Nine with 22.5%, ABC1, 14.8% and SBS ONE, 6.5%. Seven leads the week with 24.2%, Ten and Nine are tied on 22.7% each.
- Digital: GO won the night with a share of 2.1%, from 7TWO with 1.7%, ABC2, 1.5%, ONE and ABC3, 0.7% each and SBS TWO, 0.3%. The six FTA digital channels had a share of 7%. GO leads the week with 3.3%, from 7TWO with 2.9%.
- Pay TV: Seven won with a share of 23.5%, from Nine with 20.6%, Ten on 19.7%, the ABC, 14.2%, Pay TV’s 100 channels shared the 14.1% reported and SBS was on 5.7%. The 11 FTA channels had a total share of 85.9%.
- Regional: A win to Prime/7Qld with a share of 28.5%, from WIN/NBN on 25.5%, SC Ten with 23.8%, the ABC on 16.0% and SBS with 6.1%. The main channels were won by Prime/7Qld with 26.6%, with SC Ten on 23.0% and WIN/NBN on 22.8%. GO won the digitals with a share of 2.7%, 7TWO was next with 1.9% and ABC2, 1.1%. WIN/NBN leads the week on 29.0% from prime/7Qld on 26.3%.
Major Markets:
- Sydney: It was Seven, Nine and Ten overall, but Seven, Ten and Nine in then main channels. GO won the digitals from 7TWO and ABC 2, Seven leads the week from Nine and Ten.
- Melbourne: It was Nine, Seven and Ten and the same for the main channels. (Top Gear averaged 400,000 for 90 minutes in Melbourne). 7TWO won the digitals from GO and ABC2. Nine leads the week from Seven and Ten.
- Brisbane: It was Seven, Nine and Ten in that order overall and for the main channels. GO won the digitals from 7TWO and ABC2. Seven leads the week from Nine and Ten.
- Adelaide: It was Seven, Ten and Nine for both the overall and the main channels, while GO won the digitals from ABC2 and 7TWO. Seven leads the week from Ten and Nine.
- Perth: It was the same here, Seven, from Ten and Nine overall and for the main channels. GO winning the digitals from 7TWO and ABC2, Seven leads the week from Ten and Nine.

Glenn Dyer’s comments: A three program night last night. MasterChef on Ten, Packed To The Rafters on Seven and Modern Family on Ten. And that was the night.
TONIGHT: Spicks and Specks and The Gruen Transfer on the ABC from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. MasterChef on Ten, the Tour de France on SBS. And on Nine at 7:30pm, the Hey Hey Its Saturday relic. World’s Strictest Parents and City Homicide return to Seven at 7.30pm and 8.30pm respectively.
