We sometimes don’t give enough credit to how much work goes into writing and blogging for a major news organisation, inflexible deadlines and an insatiable demand for more and more content must really put the pressure on to our nation’s premiere columnists.

I guess that’s why if you can come up with a zinger like this on twitter, it’s worth using as the basis for a blog post:

Even Karl Bitar's wife would vote for the Greens if it weren't for her husband

Or in Miranda’s case, an entire blog post:

Even Karl Bitar's wife would vote for the Greens if it weren't for her husband

Mercifully, Miranda didn’t decide to use twitter to link to her blog post, that she had originally written on twitter.
