Ahead of ten new episodes of A Quiet Word on ABC1, Tony Martin calls Matt Smith to have a chat about A Quiet Word, the legacy of Get This, The Scrivener’s Fancy, Twitter, his upcoming television projects, and funny videos of cats on YouTube.

Comedian and nerd icon of Australia Tony Martin gives us ten episodes of A Quiet Word to look forward to, starting on April 2nd, 2011 with Alan Davies. Davies is known to the audience as the actor behind Jonathan Creek, and finally, as regular panel member of QI, a show which we suffered without for many years. Tony Martin’s interviews are like no other, he knows the guests’ background to the nth degree, and asks the questions that wouldn’t occur to a more conventional host with glasses.
A Quiet Word will air on ABC1 on April 2nd at 9:30pm. Guests to look forward to in the future include Rhys Darby, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, Rob Brydon, Lily Tomlin, Ross Noble and Catherine Tate.
