We said so
on Wednesday. The Prime Minister had indicated on Perth radio that he’s planning to stick round – but he wasn’t very precise.

On Brisbane radio yesterday with Madonna King, he
was:

KING:
What’s your favourite place in Queensland?

PRIME
MINISTER: My favourite place in Queensland, well my wife and I honeymooned at Currumbin Beach, so I suppose I have, you know,
that’s a few years ago now.

KING:
The producers are nodding, they like the Currumbin Beach. Is that a place you’d consider
retiring?

PRIME
MINISTER: I’m not considering that, good try.

KING:
You’re not considering retiring full stop.

PRIME
MINISTER: I’m not considering retiring, no.

A good try
indeed from Madonna – and a clear response from the PM. The story is everywhere
today. And so the carnival moves on…
