Colorado Senator Ken Salazar will be named as Barack Obama‘s US Interior Secretary, reoprts Bloomberg:
“Senator Ken Salazar is President- elect Barack Obama’s choice to be U.S. Interior secretary, responsible for overseeing national parks and energy production on federal lands, according to three Democrats close to the transition.
“Salazar, 53, a first-term Democrat from Colorado, was an environmental lawyer for 11 years and served as the state’s attorney general. His Senate term will expire in 2010.”
