Who will you be spending election night with? Kerry? Laurie? Not Kochie, surely?
Whoever you pick, include us in your plans. Crikey‘s election HQ (it’s just our office, but we’re considering putting up some bunting) will be calling the card and bringing you all the colour and movement from vote night. Bernard Keane will be with the Prime Minister and the Labor groupies in Brisbane; Margot Saville will be partying with Tony Abbott and the Coalition faithful in Sydney; Andrew Crook will be embedded with the Greens in Melbourne to see if Adam Bandt can get over the line; our Poll Bludger, William Bowe, will dig into the returns to try to pick the winners before Antony Green; Matthew Knott has a wall of monitors to have the media coverage, well, covered; and Guy Rundle and First Dog on the Moon will be drinking … somewhere.
Our election website will kick into live mode from 5pm on Saturday (plus we’ll be tweeting like crazy). We’re not going anywhere until the winner’s speech. Set up the laptop or tablet alongside the telly — we’ll get through this together.
And on Sunday we’ll be bleary-eyed but bushy-tailed, and your special election edition of Crikey Insider will hit your inbox by midday: all the results, the stories from the parties and analysis from our pundits.
As for tomorrow … the final word, the costings (including Keane’s say on the Coalition modelling to be released this afternoon) and summing up the pitches from the major parties. But we’re still not going to tell you who to vote for. Sorry.
