On a weak night for TV viewing, Seven won metro total people and Nine won the main channels; but in the regions, Seven swept the board again. Masterchef did better in the metros with 1.047 million to House Rules on 911,000. House Rules easily won the national battle with 1.509 million to Masterchef Australia’s 1.367 million.
In the regions, Seven News again topped the most watched list with 620,000, followed by House Rules with 599,000; Home and Away with 529,000; Seven News/Today Tonight with 495,000 and The Chase 5.30pm was on 495,000. And that’s why Seven won the regions, again.
Sunrise had a narrow win in metro breakfast yesterday – 301,000 to 298,000 for Today.
That smell of mothballs and dust last night at 8.30pm on Seven was the return of Inspector Morse, just after an episode of the oft repeated Pie In The Sky. Morse managed 293,000 national viewers on 7TWO.
Only one thing to be watched tonight — well maybe two, oh, OK, three. Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell, The Chaser’s Election Desk and of course a certain football game on Nine or Gem.
