A very quiet night now the NRL and AFL seasons are all but over. The night was dominated by Nine and The Block (second in the metros and nationally). Seven News was the most watched program and topped the metros, regions and nationally, but that was as good as it got for the network. The Block had 1.714 million viewers nationally, Seven News had 1.794 million. Seven’s The Big Music Quiz managed to hang in with 1.257 million national viewers.

Nine won the night in the metros both in total people and the main channels. In the regions a slightly different story with Seven wining total people, but Nine getting home in the main channels.

Australian Survivor managed a top 10 national spot at eighth, but its audience was just 809,000 (and a weak 568,000 in the metros). The second and final part of Howard on Menzies was ninth nationally with 807,000 and 560,000 in the metros: which is weak. There were 120,000 fewer viewers from the first week’s 927,000.

In the regions, Seven News was again tops with 566,000, with The Block close behind with 548,000. 60 Minutes was third with 422,000, The Big Music Quiz had 415,000 and Nine News had 400,000.

In the morning Insiders managed 515,000 national viewers with 386,000 in the metros on the main channel and News 24.
