Thanks Sophie for another entertaining evening. The Bachette is such a good-hearted romp with all the faux seriousness of the Bach and previous series of the Bachette tossed overboard — hopefully never to return. It’s a pity there wasn’t a dingo onesie for last night’s ep — we all know who would have been wearing that one. The Bachette had 1.07 million national viewers, with 840,000 in the metros and only 239,000 in the regions.

The Block topped the night for Nine with 1.81 million national viewers with 1.21 million in the metros. Doctor Doctor added cream to Nine’s winning recipe with a solid 1.18 million national viewers. The ABC’s Gruen managed 1.17 million national viewers and Hard Quiz grabbed 876,000 nationally. In fact those figures confirm at the moment Wednesday nights offer viewers more choice than any other night of the week and they are taking up the offers. In breakfast another win for Sunrise nationally and in the metros, but at the other end of the day The Chase Australia from 5.30pm is starting to lag.

In regional markets The Block starred with top billing and 602,000 viewers, from Seven News with 550,000, then Seven News/Today Tonight with 465,000, Doctor Doctor was fourth with 443,000 and Home and Away was fifth with 432,000.
