A sort of standard Monday night for now — The Voice with 1.389 million nationally was a standout for Nine; Seven’s House Rules fell back to 1.05 million from Sunday night’s peak, and Masterchef Australia dipped to 868,000 nationally.

The highlight though was the return of Back Roads in the 8pm slot with 945,000, and then on to Have You Been Paying Attention on Ten with 987,000 nationally.

Q&A picked up to 600,000 nationally from around 9.35pm which was more than enough to dominate the last time slot of relevance in the night’s ratings. Seven’s 6pm to 6.30pm News beat Nine News nationally by more than 550,000, and the 6.30pm to 7pm part had a margin of nearly 430,000.

In regional markets Seven’s night — The 6pm News again led with 646,000, from Seven News/Today Tonight with 619,000, then the 5.30pm part of The Chase Australia with 441,000, House Rules with 426,000 and Home and Away with 399,000.
