TV ratings married at first sight

MAFS returned — 1.49 million nationally (it dragged on for almost two hours!).

Nine wins, end of night? Not quite. Seven’s MKR failed to make the top 10 national programs — 830,000 isn’t enough and 2020 will be a repeat of 2019’s struggle. The format is dead, like the Norwegian Blue.

Australian Survivor All Stars on Ten also didn’t make the top 10, but it was not expected to. The 787,000 was enough for Ten, but not enough to keep it in third spot — that went to the ABC with its high class line up. A great Four Corners (904,000 nationally) and Q&A (754,000 nationally) shorn of Tony Jones. Hamish Macdonald slipped easily into the chair and Jones is history.

In regional areas it was Seven News with 574,000, Seven News 6.30, 564,000. Home and Away 392,000, The Chase Australia 5.30pm, 350,000, MAFS, 338,000.
