There was a bit of a turn-on for news about the heavy rains and storms on Monday morning and evening. But Seven’s hour of news from 6-7pm still streeted Nine by over 400,000 nationally.
It was Seven’s only claim to fame last night.
Meanwhile, Nine’s MAFS had 1.54 million, up from the debut the previous Monday. Seven’s MKR, 713,000, was beaten by Ten’s Australian Survivor All Stars on 771,000 and the ABC’s 7.30 on 990,000, Four Corners on 818,000 and Media Watch on 831,000.
Q&A’s surge under new host Hamish Macdonald lasted one episode. It averaged 754,000 last week, while last night saw a 20%-plus drop to 579,000. The Oscars averaged 413,000 on Seven for the first time — in the US the audience fell to 23.6 million, an all time low and down from 2019’s 29.6 million.
