No MAFS, so Nine loses the night, but still won the week.
MKR ended up eighth nationally, but with just 786,000. With the main opposition, MAFS and Survivor Australia All Stars absent, MKR couldn’t attract a million or more viewers nationally, which tells us how weak the 2020 series is.
Seven’s hour of news from 6pm again dominated, beating Nine by 349,000. The night was actually rubbish, underlined by the surge in viewing of the non-main channels — their combined share was 35.6% — which means repeats, repeats of repeats, etc.
In regional markets it was Seven News with 505,000, then Seven News 6.30 with 481,000, Home and Away with 359,000, The Chase Australia 5.30pm with 313,000 and the 7pm ABC News with 292,000
