Nine boasted about winning with MAFS (1.47 million) down a touch on a week ago (1.52 million), but still beating daylight into second and topping the most watched list.

But what of Doctor Doctor? 837,000 last week, 722,000 last night. No help from MAFS? That’s a loss of 115,000 viewers or a nasty 14% fall.

If repeated it will be done and dusted after this series because it will show its core audience have walked away from it. The ABC did well — second from 7pm with the news at 985,000, 7.30 with 1 million, Hard Quiz with 866,000 and Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell at 836,000. They easily accounted for MKR on Seven with 784,000 and Australian Survivor All Stars on Ten with 723,000.
