Crikey made the commitment recently to send our correspondent-at-large Guy Rundle to the US for the midterm elections. I hope you’ve seen some of his coverage. As the results came in, and the expected Republican wave receded to barely a trickle, he was on hand to put the outcome into context.

North American correspondent Keir Semmens and others added to our coverage of what might end up being a watershed week in the political career of one Donald Trump, not to mention Joe Biden.

Of course, plenty else has been going on too, including the Victorian election campaign, a plethora of international summits, and, thanks to our reporter Julia Bergin, some interesting stories about how science is fighting climate change. Oh, and a great Bernard Keane on pain.

Thanks for reading,

MICHAEL BRADLEY

He may have come back with a bang, but Donald Trump's constitutional eligibility for reelection is far from a closed case.
